Wholehearted Commitment
Qualified in Radiotherapy in 2012 with a 2:1 BSc Honors in Radiotherapy and Oncology generating a wealth of experience within pre-treatment and treatment aspects of all forms of radiotherapy. Involved in treating advanced radiotherapy treatment techniques (IMRT, IGRT, IMAT, TBI, TMLI, Paediatrics & many more) with experience gained on Varian, Elekta and Hi-Art Tomotherapy treatment units.

With experience as a Team leader on the Elekta synergy units working as a Senior Therapy Radiographer, ensuring a smooth and efficient day-to-day workflow of the treatment units. Managing patient concerns efficiently, ensuring a productive and pleasant working environment, assertively managing conflict, staff appraisal and development.
Assisting in the development and implementation of new radiotherapy techniques within the department; to include, abdominal compression for pancreatic cancer with deep exhalation breath hold

2020 - Practising as the Lead Skincare Radiographer in a large NHS Radiotherapy unit keeping abreast the current literature and evidence base on skincare in radiotherapy. Educating and updating colleagues regularly and setting up an in-house competency program.

From August 2020, I immersed into an Advanced Practice Therapeutic Radiographer role specialising in Breast Radiotherapy which is where my passion now lies.

Implementing new processes and techniques such as voluntary deep inspiration breath hold coaching, volumetric modulated arc therapy for breast cancer and surface guided radiotherapy

Competent in On-treatment and post-treatment review and side-effect management
Competent in Informed Consent in Breast Radiotherapy
Competent in and Lead the Radiotherapy Skincare service in a large trust
Part of the Trial Management Group for a large national Breast Radiotherapy Trial advising on recruiting centres skincare policies to ensure they align with the trial
